Innovation and Creative Problem Solving

1 day

Pam Jaeger

This highly interactive 1-day program will equip you with new tools and techniques to improve your creative problem solving skills. You will examine how your ideas, language, and behavior impact other people and encourage (or discourage!) creativity. Tools and techniques are discussed in the context of a five-step problem resolution process: problem identification and analysis, idea generation, idea selection, idea development, and action planning. During the program you will practice newly learned skills and techniques on real problems or opportunities that you and your organization are currently facing.

Participants are asked to come to the program with a real work problem or opportunity that they are currently facing. This program is designed to assist employees in applying techniques to solving routine or out-of-the-ordinary problems. Participants learn techniques to apply when working independently or with a group.

Instructional methods include videotaping and feedback, skilled coaching, large and small group exercises, and the practical application of presented tools and techniques on participant’s current work problems and/or opportunities.
